Relieved: that Nate officially decided to pull out of the marathon. I knew he'd make the right decision but I was a little stressed for a second. Now I have another cheerleader/photographer on the sidelines.
Worried: because apparently I caught some sort of respiratory bug during our travels. My lungs are making this weird crackling sound when I exhale which is obviously not good. I need my lungs in three days! Go away, bug.
Anxious: for D-day on Sunday. But excited, too. I have a final post in the works for you and then I'm out until it's over. Stay tuned.
You're almost there! I hope your bug goes away soon. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! And please, PLEASE tell me how you did it?? I want to train for a half marathon (for starters), but I get so bored and quit mentally before I ever would quit physically. How do you run for that long and NOT quit?!?!
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't wait to hear all about it!!! You are going to do great!
ReplyDeletegood luck with the marathon! can't wait to here your results!
ReplyDelete-abi
That's so great your parents are coming! And that Nate will be able to cheer you on, too.
ReplyDeleteI really wish I could be there to watch, but you know I'll be thinkin of ya!
Hope you feel better soon, and once more, GOOD LUCK!!!! :)
i can't believe it's finally here!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck, but don't push yourself too hard if you aren't feeling well. Run out and grab some Airborne pronto...I swear by it!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I'm so freaking excited for you!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to be rock star!
Time sure flew! Good luck, and I hope you get to feeling better!
ReplyDeleteJulia, my hero..
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!
Poor Nate. Of course he's making the right decision, but that would completely suck to do all the training and not be able to do the race. Well, he can pour all of his energy into being your cheerleader, like you said.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! You are going to do great. But the question is, will you wear the skirt? It might be too cold up there, but you would look hot!
Good luck chica!!! You are already a superstar! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a journey! I'm so excited for you, and cannot wait to hear all about it!
ReplyDeletePoor Nate... but make sure he gets great pics! ;)
Mary~the skort is totally going to rock the marathon. It's pretty chilly up here right now but on Sunday it should be nice [high of 67]. It got down to the 40s last night which made me nervous, but I'd risk freezing my legs off to don the skort....it's good luck and my best option:)
ReplyDeleteMolly~It's definitely a mental sport more than a physical one. I swear it's possible to zone out and stay focused for that many miles but it's not easy! At least for an overthinker like me. Definitely try training for a half!
Thank you loves. You guys know how to keep me motivated and I appreciate it.
Good luck!! I can't wait to hear your stories. I admire your dedication so much. I can not imagine running so far!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the marathon!! I'm so impressed that your running in one. It's an amazing accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteWoah, how did everyone get their comments up so fast? Anyway, Julia, you're going to do great and leave Oprah in the dirt. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've been training so hard and it will definitely pay off. You'll be so proud when you cross that finish line. And how great that you'll have N-meister and your parents cheering you on!
