Have I sung the praises of Andrea Weiss Photography enough yet? Between all of the family shoots she has done for us over the years, Cecelia's balloon gender reveal, her birth photography, and now this? Andrea has certainly photographed some major events in our life and has documented this little girl's life incredibly well, considering that Cecelia is only 5 weeks old and has already had 3 photo shoots with Andrea!
We had the first 'posed' photo shoot early on, when Cecelia was just 8 days old. Andrea is really getting into newborn photography and attended an awesome workshop to learn the tricks of the trade the month before Cecelia was born. So of course I was pumped to see Andrea work her magic on CC! My mom was here then so us girls went over to Andrea's and we were blown away by how much goes into a session like this. To see Andrea in her element was so much fun, and I'm not going to lie--I totally cried when Andrea got CC set up for the first shot below. My baby girl, this precious daughter of mine that is SUCH a blessing in our lives, literally looked like an angel. To say that I'm happy with these shots is an understatement. It was so hard to pick one for her birth announcements but I did it somehow and I now have a new appreciation for newborn photographers. Those little babies may look like little angels laying here all posed but wow, it's hard work to nail a shot like these!
(the following one is the winner for the birth announcement)
But we didn't stop there. I really wanted a few of our family in our new house with our new baby, too. At first we were going to try and do both the posed and the family shots at the same time but then we decided to break up the sessions. Thank goodness we did! I love all of these, too, and ended up ordering two giant canvases from this session below (plus a huge canvas of the 'birth announcement' shot from above). I love our little family of four so much. Thank you, Andrea, for capturing the magic of our lives right now----these early weeks sure are challenging but I'm certain I will look back on them and smile when I remember all of the chaos.
I die. This one is going to be a 16x20 canvas in our dining room!
And this is the other one I ordered as a canvas.
I've said it before but I'll say it again---I'm a huge fan of Andrea as a person and as a photographer. Don't hesitate to contact her if you need amazing pictures of your family or newborn!
And now I'm off to update my blog header and Facebook... :)
