I had come off of BCPs because we were trying to get pregnant and I never got a period. Dr. Google said it's normal for about 90 days after the hormones of BCPs, so I waited...and waited...and waited. Just before I called my Dr (at day 91), I tested and found out very quickly that I had waited my first trimester away! I'm glad you figured it out sooner than that! I'm always curious about the (less obvious) details of how a pregnancy came to be too :)
I'm sorry that you feel guilty and anxious about your pregnancy. Totally understandable why, but it's a shame, nonetheless. If only we could all go back to our naive pre-baby days when pregnancy was nothing but joy and wonder - I didn't know what true worry was until I had kids! Try to stay positive and enjoy growing this new little babe! At least, that's how I see it with my baby #3!

I like how he asked logical questions. Totally what Naaman did too but unfortunately for us there will be three kids in daycare ACK! But only for a few months, thank God!

Hope you're feeling well and can't wait to see more updates. p.s. you are seriously TINY in that pic. I fear my waist will never again be so small. I even took a selfie of it because it was so nuts. I REALLY should have known right then that the epic-level of bloat - a bloat I'd only seen while PREGNANT - meant I was with child :)

I'm sorry to hear you had/have all that anxiety about this baby - it really is so scary and feels so uncertain at times. I have been lucky in not experiencing a loss but I can imagine how that ramps up the fear. I remain surprised by how much fear I have with this pregnancy and birth - I think it has a lot to do with having such an intense understanding of what I would be losing since I love my kids so much. It's tough.

PS - I'm still shocked on a regular basis that I'm pregnant. I was used to all the type-A pre-planning with my first two also so this surprise style is very confusing for my brain!! :)Navigating the Mothershiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13193466547588557254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-15001306996019598292013-12-18T09:33:00.562-06:002013-12-18T09:33:00.562-06:00I teared up when I saw your note to Nate. I haven't had my cycle since 2008 when I conceived my first child. Now, we're trying for #3 but things are proving to be a little tougher.
