I'm sorry!). Did you see the BG3.0s are being discontinued?? Bummer!

As for us, we've decided to wait until after the baby is born to figure out our cloth diaper stash. We'll likely use disposables for the first week at least, and order one of those "trial packages" that are offered so we can try out the different styles. I'm really interested in the one-size Happy Heinys and FuzziBunz because they have the snaps (you may remember, I was concerned about the velcro on the BGs). I'm also curious to see what the new BG diapers are going to look like--I think they do the big reveal tomorrow?

ANYWAY... I was wondering if, in all your spare time (HA!), you'd be willing to make some recommendations for baby products and gear that have ended up on your "must-have" list (or, in contrast, the items you think are a waste). I'm not talking about all of the obvious stuff, but things that you were maybe surprised by, or needed to pick up after the fact. For instance, I saw you are using both Avent and Tommee Tippee bottles... do you like one better than the other? I ask because, coincidentally, those are the two types I've registered for as well. I also notice you have a microwave sterilizer... good to have? When you pump at work... what supplies (aside from the pump, duh!) do you find to be useful/needed?

I'm trying to "beef up" my registry for my second baby shower, since a lot of things were cleared off from the first shower (yesterday), and I just *KNOW* there are things that I could register for, but have no idea that I'm going to need!

Any product advice you can offer as an "experienced mom"--and one who breastfeeds/pumps at work--would be extremely appreciated!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04838246429529148138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-17585736929170776762010-06-26T07:51:08.572-05:002010-06-26T07:51:08.572-05:00Julia, I would LOVE a post on pumping at work!! I've been pumping in order to start building a supply, but I have no idea how much I'll need or how much he'll eat or how much I'll get throughout the day. It's a huge stressor for me already!

Reading about your day makes me realize I can do this, even if it will be really, really hard! The hardest part will just be missing him and true exhaustion :)

Have a wonderful weekend!!AEOThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09968086949710666964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-19553373573084478172010-06-25T06:32:29.138-05:002010-06-25T06:32:29.138-05:00Keondra~

Other than making our bed each morning, doing dishes, and keeping the place generally clear of clutter there is no time for actual cleaning during the work week. On a Sat or Sun we will usually do a good cleaning job on the place but it's so not a priority anymore.

Quality time with Nate? Well, we really do try to eat dinner together each night but it doesn't always happen. Either way, when he gets home we will sit together (if I'm nursing, or while we play with T) and chat about our day. Plus, even if it's just 15 minutes before bed we will sit on the couch or the porch together to catch up on life. Most of the time we'll take care of T together at night anyway, so that is more 'quality time' as parents. It's hard for sure, but again....that's what Sat and Sun are for!Julia Gooliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13784248013181090775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-79185336461384806852010-06-24T19:53:07.792-05:002010-06-24T19:53:07.792-05:00Wow, I am exhausted just reading that! Second, I'm lucky that I only work less than 10 minutes from home/daycare, but it is still the LONGEST 10 minutes until I get to see my baby girl. And, third, our bedtime routines are pretty much identical (not that it's all that surprising), but we also put Olivia to bed in her crib and then Josh would get her into bed with me at her first wake-up to nurse. The good news, though, is that as she's gotten older that wake-up has gotten later and later (now it's usually between 4 and 5).

Oh, and I totally know what your saying about the ounces pumped. I have a mega freezer stash and I can still let it stress me out when the number is lower than I would like, lol.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16374394837838436123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-7893991210679652942010-06-24T10:31:37.158-05:002010-06-24T10:31:37.158-05:00Hmmmm, this post makes me feel like I need to get ...Hmmmm, this post makes me feel like I need to get my butt in gear! My first full week back to work starts on Monday and I'm just such a slacker! I used to be organized but I'm not so much anymore. I totally agree that when I get stuff ready the night before my morning goes MUCH smoother! I'm just not consistent with it and then I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off. And it changes in a few weeks it seems, so it's also a good way to remember what things are like at any point in time. I hear you on the evening nap - if my baby takes one, we are all happier, but sometimes she just refuses, and then it's a 7pm bedtime for her :) Kind of sad b/c we barely get to see her then, but no point in trying to keep a super cranky baby awake!Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17928807868790599467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-55503489912062308752010-06-24T10:06:11.670-05:002010-06-24T10:06:11.670-05:00I cannot tell you how informative this post is. Replace the breastfeeding, pumping and bottle washing with tantrums, making beige dinners (ie.
