A (busy) week in iphone pictures

I take a LOT of iPhone pictures, huh? Especially this past week---it's been a busy/awesome one.

Blog posts about events of the week to come. Photo dump for now.

Kids at dinner, forget which night:

Christmas parade Saturday 11.17.12 (post to follow). Henry's force choke!

Messing with Henry.

ha ha ha ha.

ha ha ha. Erin's cross face with Truman.

The four of us on our double date.

Crazy post-pony tail girl, Saturday night 11.17.12 at Nate's co-workers house. So overstimulated by the party she was up until almost 9 this night. Yay!
Untitled

Napping at 8:15am, Sunday morning 11.18.12.
Untitled

Big eyes on Sunday 11.18.12. Isn't she so freaking pretty??
Untitled

Tony's 66th birthday dinner at our house, Sunday night. Truman thought the candles were for him, of course.
Untitled

Monday morning, 11.19: a particularly horrible morning for Truman complete with meltdowns and tantrums at 5 am. Family time at 6 am trying to hold onto some sense of sanity. Cecelia is like, 'What kind of family did I get myself into?!'
Untitled

Snoozer, Monday at 5pm--couldn't quite put her down even though I knew that nap would mess up bedtime.
Untitled

Cute girl after a bath Monday night! Looking particularly 'ginger' here.
Untitled

Tuesday morning at 5 am, ready to start the day! Too excited to fly on her first airplane ride to sleep. Also, mixing patterns to the extreme.
Untitled

Excited kids while parents pack.

Unprompted kiss.

My world.

At the airport! Tuesday 11.20.12. Big boy loves the escalators.

Thomas matching cards from the dollar bin at Target = big hit.

Ready to fly! Alternative title: I love wearing my sleepy baby! And I love coffee!
Untitled

And we are off!

Landed in MO, driving to my parents house 2 hours away. Truman didn't last long.
Untitled

She's awake (in a borrowed car seat)
Untitled

But not for long. I was stuck in the back seat with these two peaceful sleeping babes for our drive. Can't beat the view.
Untitled

Pouty lips.
Untitled

Arrived at Go Go and Po Pos house! Baby girl blew out her first diaper all over her outfit to commemorate her first visit out of state.
Untitled

Memaw cooking and holding CC, general craziness with family begins.
Untitled

Bath in Go Gos tub, Tuesday night.

Wednesday morning, 11.21.12: Someone popped her first tooth overnight! Celebrating with Memaw.
Untitled

Untitled

Love seeing all of my vintage toys from the 80s. Remember this doctor set?
Untitled

In heaven in his 'new room' at Go Gos.
Untitled

Lucie dog is impressed, too.
Untitled

Her new love of standing, Wednesday. Hate that my iPhone blew out her face so much.
Untitled

Hannah and crew came to visit on Wednsday, too. Lucy and Cecelia, sure to be best of friends from afar.
Untitled

Wednesday night, playing in Po Pos awesome game room. Also: mom loves her some picture frame galleries just like me.
Untitled

Thanksgiving morning: my early rising crew.
Untitled

Turkey day jog with my goatee'd man. Mid-MO hills are no freaking joke, by the way. Still sore from two days of running up a constant incline of concrete.
Untitled

My old wooden rocking horse, made by Pepaw!
Untitled

Thanksgiving lunch!
Untitled

Napping before mom could even get second helpings.
Untitled

Outtakes from an impromptu photo shoot with my mom as a photographer. Truman was very enthralled with Nate's head, for some reason.
Untitled

Untitled

Thursday night: Truman discovers a magnifying glass. Hilarious
Untitled

Friday morning, 11.23.12: standing again!
Untitled

Then a sink bath for little miss with TWO TEETH NOW!
Untitled

Untitled

Mother/Daughter pedicure time! Much needed. Left the men at home to babysit.
Untitled

Saturday, 11.24.12: Dunn Bros coffee is seriously the bomb. I wish we had one closer to us in Milwaukee, but alas---every time we come to my parents house we get to experience the DB goodness just minutes away from my parents house. Love their Christmas cups so much!!
Untitled

What a week so far, huh? We fly back to Wisconsin on Monday---off to enjoy the rest of our trip!

  1. Love all the pics and I'm glad you're having fun!

Cece is so big now, I can't get over it!! SUCH a cute girl.

That white dresser in the background of "T's room" - I think we had one just like that in our house growing up, no idea what happened to it.

C's questioning - what kind of family did I get myself into? I think that on behalf of Benny all the time. Born into chaos, that's for sure! But so much love, too! :)

Enjoy the rest of your week away!

  2. I was just talking to my husband about that doctor's set during the week! I remember that the stethoscope used to hurt my ears, but that may have been because I had/have a huge head! It seems so much sturdier than the sets nowadays.

    Love all your pictures :)

  3. Love these! Cece's hair is so red, and she is just so beautiful - this is just about the age where I feel like babies actually start to look like they do when they are older toddlers - I remember looking at Annie's monthly pics of her first year and it was her 5 month photo where she finally started looking like herself. Crazy to think of what she'll be like when she's a year old!

I also take SOOOOO many iphone pics - some weeks it's like 100+. Yikes.

  4. 100+ pics in a week ... dear Lord, then I'm truly a freak, because I think I can easily take 100 iPhone pics in like three days sometimes. Not all of different things - I just click away til I get a good shot - but still. It's a lot. And then I fall behind on getting pics off my phone, so I'll suddenly have 1,500 pics on my camera roll. But man, the iPhone has such a great camera on it, it's pretty much all I use anymore!

  5. Love these! My life (aka the Kiddo's life) would be much less documented without my iPhone. I love the photos from my 'big kid camera', but there are so many shots I'd miss if I only took photos with it.

Pretty much unrelated to this post - but did you make your headboard? I love the tufted look and we're in the market for something new to go in the new house.

    Safe travels tomorrow!

    1. Yes! My mom and I made the headboard and there should be a post about it under the 'projects' tab at the bottom of the blog. It was back in 2008 and the pics are messed up but you can still get the idea.

  6. Love the drs set! We have the same and my kids love it. Kinda glad my mom is a borderline hoarder of things like that.
Next time you are in J-Town, try BK Bakery. They have Kaldis coffee and the great baked goods.

  7. youre a trooper for flying with those two. more power to you!

my daugther is 2 months younger than Cece...i swear she's teething right now..

If you don't mind me asking...what do you use to help her teeth? cold teethers?

Also, when did her first tooth come in?

Everyone keeps telling me its too early for my daughter to be teething, but the signs are all there!

    1. The first one cut through one week before her 6 month birthday--but from about 4 months on, I think the teeth were moving around under the gym line causing her pain, drooling, and fussiness (and no sleep!). It's not too early to see signs of teething at 4 months--but don't be surprised if none cut through for a while!

  8. 2 teeth in one visit! It's wild how they come in like that. Those kiddos are such cutie pies.

I loved that doctor set! Oh man, I can still imagine the scratchiness of the stethoscope, and how even the pretend shot was a little scary. So fun that they held on to it!

  9. Hi, LOVE your blog, been secretly reading it for a while now, but I just have to ask: what kind of carrier are you wearing?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Mamae~It's the Ergo 'sport' carrier or something like that. We love our Ergo!
