Hopefully you can fine the right balance and what works for you!

Erin -- we are all about the matching PJs! (Okay, maybe it's just me and I didn't allow a committee for this decision, lest it be shot down.)

Erin -- you're so sweet. Thank you!

swajud -- congrats on being able to go to part time! I really thought that would have been the best of both worlds for me, but I just don't know how it would have worked. Hopefully it works once #2 comes along, too! Best of luck to you in the coming months. sierra {this is the life}https://www.blogger.com/profile/13676631429745607751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-57878716940117366312014-04-03T12:45:29.474-05:002014-04-03T12:45:29.474-05:00Thanks Sierra! Your "work" personality sounds just like me (as does the putting everything in your phone for "mommy" tasks and your chore schedule...almost matches mine to the day). This sounds so much like my situation with my first kid and helped me evaluate how we're going to approach things with our second baby that is due this fall. I recently scaled back to part time which has been near ideal for wrangling one kid, but makes me a bit nervous for #2, so I appreciate the contrast in your two pregnancies and your bravery for resigning since it was what you felt in your heart was best.swajudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02062668666489896255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-69241560497147320602014-04-03T10:19:52.691-05:002014-04-03T10:19:52.691-05:00What a great post, Sierra! I always admired you as a working mom and also wondered how you did it, too, since one hour a day with your kid is not enough, you're right!! And I admire you as a stay-at-home mom, too! It's obvious how much you love your kids and I'm glad your new role is suiting you. :) Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03552565623002937197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-86904338643908432182014-04-03T09:30:37.011-05:002014-04-03T09:30:37.011-05:00I really enjoyed this!! I have a few friends who work in HR and manage people, and yeah. It seems hugely stressful and overwhelming!!! Glad you're getting to stay home with your babies now, I love that last pic of you all in your PJs :)Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17928807868790599467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-1416747238144430492014-04-03T08:40:18.114-05:002014-04-03T08:40:18.114-05:00Thank you SO much for your post - I'm definite...Thank you SO much for your post - I'm definitely a little teary-eyed! Not because I'm sad, but how much I can relate to your story! I've struggled a lot with working a full-time job and finding that balance between being a good employee and a good mom... so knowing I'm not alone in this makes me feel a little better :)Jamie Lynn {Cocktails and Carseats}https://www.blogger.com/profile/00350961724433712789noreply@blogger.com
