Please keep letting us know the REAL DEAL on life with two because we are starting to think long and hard about if and when we want to increase the craziness in our lives. Also, an OCD FYI for you if you are interested: I'm using that font (Clementine?) in Finn's baby book (that I will probably never finish but have at least started) and if you start all of your words with capital letters (they still look like lowercase) the outline of the letter will be "capped off". Then to cap off the end, finish with a ^ sign. If you use a w or v you also have to put a ^ sign in front of the letter. ;)E @ Oh! I love trying to figure out newborns and then ultimately always coming to the realization that there IS no figuring them out, no routine, no pattern... and if there is it happens for 2 days and then it's over :)

The nighttime fussies are really no fun. Wish they ended far sooner but at 2.5 Annie still seems to have them a lot of the time ;)

Good luck with the bottles - it is SUCH a pain to work into the schedule, but so important especially for those picky little buggers who don't take to it right away. Annie was a big time bottle refuser and it was SO STRESSFUL, but she did figure it out just fine by the time she started daycare. She honestly never took bottles very well at home, but was always completely fine with them at daycare. We're talking she'd go 5 hours without eating at all (and being awake), and several times where I'd leave the house just knowing that Ben would be in for an hour long screaming battle. Hoo boy. Not fun. Oh, and when I knew we'd give a bottle, I'd just leave the milk in the fridge because it stays good there for about a week - you can just start by having 1oz in there too, so you aren't wasting a full bottle. She probably wouldn't take a ton more than 2.5oz at best anyway at this age, I'm guessing.

The newborn amnesia is strong. It definitely happened with us too, mostly with Ben saying that Annie was just such a better baby than Luke - thankfully I had written proof that he was wrong :)

LOVE her hair, and so glad that Truman is doing so well - he sounds like such an easy going little man, wish I could say the same about Annie :)

OH - and I will say that Annie was DEFINITELY a fussy newborn but she was a cake walk (most of the time) from about 4 months until like... 2 years, 1 month and 5 days old (aka the day Luke arrived and we had far less patience to deal with her) so you might not be "in for it" with CC :)Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17928807868790599467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-43212629759654301352012-06-28T10:43:40.359-05:002012-06-28T10:43:40.359-05:00Oh CC, Love your hair! Sometimes we got a good nap but other times not so much. It's so hard when you don't know what to expect. Because if you expect them to take a nice nap and then they don't you are disappointed because you can't do what you thought you could do during that time.

Brigham also hated to be put down. I guess we're lucky that babywearing is available!

Anyway, I bet she'll start giving you longer stretches at night in no time at all. I think after the 3 - 4 hour stretch came a 5-hour stretch. Wouldn't that feel amazing?

Hang in there, mama!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6548039454456114385.post-83070330975277108302012-06-28T09:44:46.442-05:002012-06-28T09:44:46.442-05:00A- I LOVE that superwoman photo.
