{Updated: Winner is Amber Trout for this giveaway}
I have a few giveaways up my sleeve for you guys, and I'm going to start with $50 to any order at Pear Tree Greetings. I've used Pear Tree for Valentines Day cards and Christmas Cards in the past and was excited to work with them again on Porter's birth announcements.
I admit that I'm a sucker for fancy stationary and paper products, and even though Porter is our third child I knew I wanted to keep up the tradition of sending birth announcements. I can't help myself! Pear Tree contacted me before he was born and asked if I would be interested in doing a review and giveaway for their birth announcements and I immediately started pouring through their options. Even before Porter was born. Because I love stuff like this *that* much.
Once he was born and we got our images back from Andrea's hospital photo session, I decided on Pear Tree's 'Wave the Flags booklet' for Porter's announcement. Something about the little pennants that say 'He's Here' made me want to cry and then being able to choose a lot of different images from his birthday sealed the deal for me. We really went all out with these invitations this time around, so I only ordered 24 and sent them to our closest friends and immediately family. I figure that I can go back to my standard list of about 75+ people for Christmas cards but right now, I wanted a really special card for just a few people. And I wanted to save a few cards as keepsakes for us, too, of course.
The front of our announcement:
Opening once...
And opening it again...
The back:
I kept one announcement for us and opened it all the way, placing it on the long shelf in Porter's room. Funny how it matches the wall color without even trying!
And I kept another one for us to add to his shadow box. I love shadow boxes so much.
All three of the kids have their own in the hallway. Really kind of obsessed with the repetition since all three were born at the same hospital, they each have their own hospital hat, 'new family member' signs that were on the hospital room doors, and other little cards/bracelets that I wanted to keep.
I love the announcement in person, and as always I think Pear Tree's products are top notch. We've gotten a lot of compliments on the announcements from the 'select' friends and family that received them, and like my mom said: "This doesn't seem like a third baby's birth announcement." Good! I'm glad we upgraded from my usual self-design in Photoshop that gets printed on cheapie card stock for our third time around.
And what about you guys? Would you like to win $50 off any order from Pear Tree Greetings? Enter the Rafflecopter giveaway below, starting today and ending next Tuesday, August 19th. I will announce the winner on my Facebook page and will email you directly if you win (so make sure to leave your email address!). I will also update the top of this post with the winner's name but will not be creating a brand new post to announce who wins. So stay tuned and good luck!
