This is our beloved, semi-human dog named Henry. He is a Cockapoo and is near sainthood status in our household:

Nate and I started dating back in 2002. He proposed on March 26, 2006 by tying my ring around Henry's neck. We took an obscene amount of engagement pictures to celebrate:

We got married on May 27, 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri. It was the best day of our lives thus far:

We have about 64 billion wedding pictures and if you are dying for more, and you can start with our wedding slideshow.
Then two days after the wedding we moved to 'The Great Artic', also known as Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It snows a lot here. I'm trying to acclimate and succeed in doing so with lots of red wine and coffee.

After the stressful move we treated ourselves to a fabulous St. Lucian honeymoon:

After all of those major transitions, we began to settle into married life in Wisconsin. We moved up here so Nate could go to graduate school in his home state while we 'started fresh' in a new city after marriage. It's also nice to have one set of parents [his] in the same city as us. Someday I hope to convince my parents to join the party up north but I'm not holding my breath. You saw the snow, right?
I am a Physical Therapist at a local hospital by day, and a internet junkie at night. I started my own album design business in March 2008 and simply adore photography as well. Some would call me 'crafty' and I would not correct them....my inner Martha Stewart busts free every now and then. I started this blog in November 2007 to stay connected with distant friends and family. I continue to blog because it's fun and a great social outlet for a chick in a new city. Does that make me a nerd?
Nate is a full time student working towards his Doctorate in Physical Therapy [he wants to be just like me, obviously. Except I 'only' have my Masters Degree]. He will graduate in May of 2011, which is coincidentally the same month that I will collapse from excitement. The day that we finally have two incomes will be a day of intensive celebration....you are all invited to attend a virtual party. Just make sure to bring your A game.
Shortly after moving to Milwaukee we realized that living on one salary, plus paying Nate's tuition and a substantial amount of rent, did not yield a decent amount of savings. Lucky for us my in-laws own a duplex with a completely vacant upper unit. We are talking separate entrances, separate kitchens, and a space of our own......rent-free. After much consideration we decided to take them up on their offer to move in and save money. In February 2008 we took that plunge and have been enjoying our living situation ever since. Did I mention that I have the best in-laws in the entire world?
Someday we will own a fabulous house of our own, which I will spend extraordinary amounts of time decorating and beautifying. I'll probably take lots of pictures, too.
Someday we will have kids and maybe I won't have to work full time anymore [are you reading this, Nate?]. No doubt there will be many pictures of those little buggers.
Someday we might consider moving somewhere warmer. Or maybe not, who knows?
But until then, this is our life: in between major transitions. And this blog chronicles our everyday happenings.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show...and get ready for a ridiculous amount of Henry pictures. Don't say I didn't warn you.
UPDATE 10.20.09:
Yeah, so about the whole 'kid' thing.....I'm pregnant with our first bambino and due in March 2010! So basically, this is a big part of our current story and a huge chunk of my blog. Hello, transition in life! Oh, how I've missed you. If you want to read all about my knocked-up state of being, you can start right here. Enjoy!

DANG Girl!!! It's Fabuloso!!! I swear, every time I visit your page, it's been revamped. I've only been saying for the last 4 months that I need to rework my page. Later, I've got work to do....
I found your blog through another blog and wanted to say "hi." Henry is so adorable! My husband and I are equally obsessed with our dog, so glad to know I'm not alone! :-)
Your pictures are amazing! I have been looking at the Adobe Creative Suite your site and photos are making it harder to resist. Although it is still a lot of money even at the student rate. I also love your albums, you are very talented!
