What have I done?
I have a date with my first 26.2 mile run on October 5, 2008. No backing out now, folks. I officially paid and signed my life away on the waiver. Basically I had to promise to train and not die, so we'll see how that goes.
And all of a sudden this full marathon is a real thing and very, very scary. I guess this means I need to start running again, huh? :) My 'too stressed, too busy, too cold' excuse has to give sometime.
I'm going to run my first full marathon!!

Oh my lord! That is awesome!!! I wish that I could do that. I am working up to running a mile without stopping. Well, let's be honest, I have not really been "working" on it. BUT I am going to get started in March! I really am! Congrats, Julia! That is amazing:)
ReplyDeleteWow! You should be super proud of yourself!
ReplyDeleteYea Julia! Good for you! I am hoping after we run our 5 miles in March, I'll be pumped to sign up for Chicago.... :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Good for you, girl!
ReplyDeleteWhich one are you doing?
I did Chicago in October 2004 - one of the best experiences of my life!!
Good luck with the training. :)
That is so great! I'll live my running dreams vicariously through you for awhile :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I am doing the half in STL and that is way more than enough for me. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI know, it's kind of ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI did the half marathon in Madison in 2005 with Nate. I swore I'd never do a full after that, but I guess I don't remember how hard it was:)
This year it will be the full here in Milwaukee, the Lakefront marathon. I want to do the Chicago really badly but we have a wedding that weekend.
Nate is still deciding if he'll run with me. We'll see...
That's awesome! Way to go...you can do it!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. You can do it! I want to do a half sometime in my life so this is quite impressive to me :-D
